The PBIS Committee has taken behavior management interventions a step further and formally launched a mentor program. Students were targeted based on consistent negative behaviors and were paired with school based staff. Mentors give students another level of support and a person they can speak to (other than their teacher or counselor) when they find themselves in a crisis. Many mentors have rewards programs with their mentee's to add an extra incentive for their positive behavior.
